Who we are

The Actors Caravan values your privacy and wants you to know that you can trust us with your information. This Privacy Policy is designed to help you understand what data we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it. This is important; we hope you will take time to read it carefully.

Types of data we collect

Film Submission Data – When you submit a film for us to consider your name, email address, phone number and other information about your film, including synopses and screener links will be stored by our submission partners Withoutabox and/or Filmfreeway.

Online Data- When you submit a film for consideration, data is shared between The Actors Caravan and Filmfreeway and/or Withoutabox in order for us to be able to complete the film selection process. You’re email address will also be added to our Mailjet (one of our email partners) mailing list. If your film is successful in being screened at the festival your data will be entered into a Google Sheet with access restricted to all relevant members of staff, volunteers and jury members. If your film is selected we will also input the films information on our website which is hosted by Squarespace.

Ticketing Data – When you purchase tickets for one of our festivals your name, email, phone number, and address data number will be stored by our ticketing partner, Universe.

Online Ticket Data – When you book tickets or passes online, data is shared between The Actors Caravan, Square (payment gateway), and Universe (ticketing platform) in order to process the transaction. Where patrons have opted to provide their details for mailings, data will be shared with MailChimp (one of our email partners).

Universe acts as a data processor on behalf of The Actors Caravan (data controller).

Universe, Square, MailChimp, Mailjet and The Actors Caravan have implemented appropriate technological measures to protect against accidental loss, destruction, damage, alteration or disclosure.

When someone visits our website (www.briff.eu) we use a number of third party services to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. We do this to find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site, types of devices used, and length of time on pages.

Mailing Lists

When you sign up for our mailing list, either at the time of booking or separately through our sign up form, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to share information such as upcoming festivals; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We also gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our marketing.
